# Double counting?

Have noted got awarded points for both the auto device (only 1 triggered oddly enough) and smart meter.

Just want to flag if double counting is occurring.

Hi @Arfan_Bhatti, for events where you don’t get any prior notice, you will still get points directly via your smart plugs. We will make the distinction between the two event types a bit clearer.

However it doesn’t double count as your savings from plugs get deducted from your smart meter’s savings.
