Today’s 90 minute powerdown throws up an issue with Kasa plugs. They can’t be set to turn off for a period longer than 60 minutes.
Hi @Jonathan_Darby thank you for your message.
We can confirm that your Kasa plugs will be switched off for the whole duration of the 90 minute event and be switched back on at the end. Our team has made it possible for us to override the settings of the smart plugs so that they remain switched off after 60 minutes.
Thanks,
Mark - Team equiwatt
I think we need a beta test team that can try out this integration before the actual event.
Plugs didn’t turn off. No points this month
Hi @Rich_T,
Thank you for your message. Sorry to hear that. From what we can see in our system, Kasa plugs were switched off successfully for the majority of users. There seems to be an issue with your plugs specifically. I have raised this with the team to investigate further.
Thanks,
Mark - Team equiwatt
Thanks Mark
They’re showing as Offline in the app, but showing and controllable from Kasa (I was actually watching the live energy consumption of one of the plugs in the Kasa app when the event started)
