I signed up for the equiwatt app a couple weeks ago.
I provided my details and the sign up process was successful.
On the last page I accidentally pressed back, and it took me back a few steps in the sign-up process.
I went through the steps again, but this time at the end I got an error message, screenshot attached.
I tried reinstalling the app but this initially didn’t work. After a couple of days I was able to continue and get into the app.
However since that time I haven’t received notifications for any events - so I am unsure whether my account is commissioned or set up properly after the sign up error. It feels like perhaps I have an account but I haven’t actually been signed up for any event schemes, as the error says.
Could someone take a look at the account and let me know whether things are set up right?
I’ve had a look at your account and everything appears to be set up correctly on our end. So you’re all good to go! We hope to see you participating in the next event soon.
I was invited to a powerdown event on 8 May, and have been invited to another later today, so I’m receiving events correctly now thankfully.
I’ve now encountered another issue unfortunately. I set my battery to force discharge @ 5kW during the event on 8 May to help the grid. My energy monitoring in Home Assistant confirms the force discharge was successful.
In the equiwatt app, it correctly shows import during the period (0.00kWh) vs the baseline (0.37kWh). But doesn’t show any of the export that happened during that period. Under “Your Participation” it shows “83 Points, 0.37kWh, 2865.0g CO2”
I’ve downloaded my data directly from n3rgy, which shows 3.78kWh export for the period of the event. My understanding here is that the app should say 4.15kWh total, approx 931 points.
Is this something to do with the export MPAN not being linked? I can’t find any way to do this in the app. I’ve set up the correct tariffs, and can see there is an AlphaESS set-up flow, but I am participating manually with a Sunsynk inverter, so haven’t been able to use that.
Could you credit the points for the recent event & check that the export MPAN is linked correctly for future events? Thanks
Event on 13 May said to consume less than 0.27kWh and export more than 0.04kWh. Set battery to force discharge as before.
App data says only 0.27kWh was awarded as 34 points for usage reduction. n3rgy data says 3.27kWh was exported also, so total should be 3.54kWh, approx 446 points. Can this also be credited please?
There’s another event today and I’m certain the same thing will happen again. I want to continue doing events to help the grid but it feels like there’s not much incentive vs discharging my battery during an evening
Could someone award the missing points and help get the export linked to my account correctly please?
Hi Ash, thanks for flagging this and for providing the detailed data. We’ll review the events from 8 May and 13 May and get back to you as soon as possible with an update.
