Is it me, or is it Equiwatt
To participate in Equivents I use the the webhooks to trigger a virtual switch.
Home Automation script then shuts down (mainly lighting) via smart devices. When the Equivent ends, similarly, a script then runs to restart devices.
I call Equivent start a PowerDown, and Equivent ends a PowerUp.
The webhooks hit my URLs usually a seconds or so after the start/
end of the Equivent.
I noted recently a few Equivent triggers at times like:
-
EquiwattPowerUp is triggered at 2025-11-21 18:00:08
-
EquiwattPowerUp is triggered at 2025-11-21 18:30:07
-
EquiwattPowerUp is triggered at 2025-11-21 19:00:08
-
EquiwattPowerDown is triggered at 2025-11-21 19:02:20
-
EquiwattPowerUp is triggered at 2025-11-21 19:30:07
-
EquiwattPowerUp is triggered at 2025-11-21 20:00:09
-
EquiwattPowerUp is triggered at 2025-11-21 20:00:49
On 21 November 2025 there was indeed an Equivent from 19:00 to 20:00.
Now the triggers 1 to 3, are ignored. My virtual switch remains off.
Trigger 4 turns my switch on that’s runs my power down script.
Trigger 5 was premature and ran my power up script too early.
Triggers 6 and 7 would have run my power up script.
So my question is why have there been superfluous Equivent end triggers, and more importantly why was there a Equivent end triggers some 30 minutes early?
